Carson City deputies make arrests for felony warrants and protection order violation
A 34-year-old man was arrested Saturday for multiple felony warrants issued out of Carson City and Douglas County, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Michael Thomas Miller was taken into custody following an investigation in which it was learned he had five active warrants for his arrest. He was held without bail on two counts parole and probation violation warrants.
In other arrests:
— A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of misdemeanor violation of a domestic violence temporary protection order. Bail: $3,000.
— A 38-year-old Fallon man was arrested Sunday for misdemeanor failure to obey a traffic control device and for being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $314.
— An intoxicated man who was yelling racial slurs at people, was arrested Thursday for suspicion of misdemeanor drunken pedestrian.
According to the booking report, CCSO deputies were contacted regarding an elderly man in a cowboy hat in the downtown area yelling at people, screaming racial slurs and walking in the middle of the street.
Deputies located the man walking northbound across East William Street to a parking lot in the 1100 block of North Carson Street. The man identified himself to deputies and instantly used racial slurs as he spoke, the report states. He stated he was a rock star from California and began to rant about Kanye West, US presidents and celebrities sexually assaulting children.
The man submitted to a preliminary breath test of .200. Due to his state of mind and level of intoxication, the deputy determined the problem would not cease. The man was arrested for misdemeanor drunken pedestrian. Bail: $72.
