Tahoe Ridge Winery closed at Carson City location
Tahoe Ridge Winery in Carson City appears to be closed, according to “for lease” signs posted throughout its space on the Carson Mall property and per information obtained from the Carson City Community Development Department.
The building that housed Tahoe Ridge Winery, located at 1105 S. Carson Street, is completely vacant. For lease signs now appear in the space at the rear of the building, where the winery operated, as well as in the front where The Bistro at Tahoe Ridge used to be.
Winery space inside appears to be empty as well.
Officials with the Carson City Building License Division confirmed that Tahoe Ridge Winery no longer has an active business license with the Municipality of Carson City.
Attempts to contact Tahoe Ridge Winery were unsuccessful. The company’s telephone number is no longer in service and its web site has been shut down.
The Carrington Company, which manages the property leased by Tahoe Ridge, has not yet been reached for comment on the date the lease was terminated and when the tenant had vacated the space.
Tahoe Ridge closed its bistro restaurant right after Christmas 2015, but kept its winery open.
The winery was still doing business at the start of the summer. In a previous story by Carson Now run Jun. 27, there was no indication then that the winery was planning to close its operations at the Carson Mall location.
