Storey County residents are reminded that the deadline to register to vote by mail or in person for the 2026 General Election is approaching. 

The last day to register to vote by mail or in person through the Storey County Clerk’s Office is Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026.

Eligible Nevada residents may also register to vote online. Voters who register online must have a current and valid Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles-issued driver’s license or identification card. 

“Registering to vote is an important first step in participating in our elections,” said Jim Hindle, Storey County Clerk & Treasurer. “We encourage residents to check their registration status early and make sure their information is current before the deadline of October sixth.”
