Carson City emergency crews called to accident involving pedestrian near Topsy
Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Wednesday afternoon to an accident involving a pedestrian on South Carson Street/Highway 395 near Topsy Lane.
Dispatch alerted emergency crews at 2:11 p.m. First responders said the pedestrian did not suffer serious injuries, however, the driver of the vehicle went off the side of the road and was injured.
A Care Flight helicopter was ordered due to injuries the driver sustained, according to dispatch. EMT personnel on scene report the pedestrian suffered minor injuries. East Fork Fire Protection District also responded.
Motorists can expect traffic delays in the southbound lane of Highway 395 near Topsy. We will update if more information becomes available.
