Woman attempts to rob Carson City Burger King and nearby 7-Eleven
UPDATE: A woman described as white, heavy set and wearing a black puffy jacket with a hood attempted to rob the 7-Eleven on Carson Street near College Parkway and a few minutes later attempted to rob a nearby Burger King in Carson City on Sunday night. The woman remains at large, confirmed Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
No weapons were seen but the woman, said to be 5 foot, 2 inches tall wearing an all black puffy jacket, including a black scarf and sunglasses, reportedly simulated that she had a gun underneath her sweatshirt hoodie in the robbery attempts, witnesses on the scene told Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies. The first attempted robbery happened at around 5:13 p.m. inside the 7-Eleven, located at 3701 N Carson St., and then a couple minutes later at Burger King, 3589 N Carson St.
Witnesses report the woman demanded money at both locations before fleeing the scene, according to Carson City dispatch via police scanner.
No injuries were reported. In both instances the woman did not receive any money from store or restaurant clerks, said Furlong. If you have any information, contact Carson City Sheriff's Office by calling 911.
