Dodgeball is back! Carson City co-ed dodgeball tournament returns Nov. 4 with 'decades' costume theme
Remember the 5 D's of dodgeball: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge?
The Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department is hosting its second annual “Can’t Dodge This” co-ed dodgeball tournament Friday, Nov. 4 starting at 6 p.m.
This tournament is a fundraiser that supports the youth scholarship fund for programs offered through the parks department.
The cost to enter is $100 a team. Dodgeball teams can have up to 12 players, but only 6 players can play at a time.
A minimum of two women must be on every team.
The tournament will be held at the Carson City MAC located at 1860 Russell Way.
This is a double elimination tournament so every team will get to play in at least two games, and each game consists the of best of three rounds.
The theme for the tournament this year is “Decades,” so come dressed in your best decades-themed costumes!
Prizes are also available for best dressed team.
Additionally, there will be a beer stand for those 21 years and older.
While competition is inevitable, this is a fun community event meant to be a little silly. While any team is welcome to register, it is strongly encouraged that businesses and organizations form teams, and then challenge their rivals!
