Event at Children's Museum to honor Carson City girl killed in tragic crash happening Nov. 2
Last year, the Director of the Nevada State Museum, Dr. Josh Bonde, his wife Becky Hall, Director of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, and their two daughters Nola Belle and Kiera were involved in a tragic car accident. All were seriously injured in the accident and Nola Belle lost her life.
Nola was a fourth grader at Bordewich Bray Elementary and brought kindness and joy to everyone around her. Nola was passionate about animals, art, music, and creating friendships.
The Friends of the Nevada State Museum, in coordination with the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, are planning an event to honor Nola Belle's memory with the creation of a special area in the Children’s Museum. The new area will reflect the spirit of Nola Belle and encourage other children in their life journeys.
A Dancing Through the Decades event is planned for Thursday, Nov. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include Hors d'oeuvres, coffee, and dessert along with a cash wine and beer bar. Students from Carson High School’s Leadership and Culinary program will be catering this special event.
There will also be a raffle with great prizes. Tickets are $50 per person and available at the Nevada State Museum, Children’s Museum, or online at www.cmnn.org.
Attendees are encourage to dress in attire from their favorite decade. Advance tickets required.
Special thanks is extended to the Leadership and Culinary Arts students at Carson High School. For further information or to donate a raffle item, please contact Deb Schafnitz at dschafnitz@yahoo.com.
