State of Nevada hiring fair Saturday in Carson City; positions available in public safety
With multiple state job openings and a need to fill those positions, the state is holding hiring fairs at the Nevada State Library & Archive building in Carson City. The next hiring fair is this Saturday, Oct. 21 and is aimed at those looking for jobs in public safety, law enforcement and the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The Saturday hiring event will provide an opportunity for departments to conduct same-day interviews and job offers for some positions, said Jon Terrazas on behalf of the Nevada Division of Human Resource Management.
There will be another hiring fair event on Tuesday, Oct. 24 with jobs available in health and human services.
State agencies will be seeking candidates for state job openings and sharing information about working for the state of Nevada, including a robust benefits package that includes paid vacation and sick leave, 12 paid state holidays, public employees’ retirement and health insurance.
The Saturday, Oct. 21 fair at the Library and Archives Building at 100 Stewart Street, Carson City will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
