Joshua Robert Jackson was stopped by patrolling deputies after failing to slow down for a stop sign, before braking at the last second, crossing the stop line and entering the crosswalk.
According to the police report, deputies made contact with Jackson, who was driving, and the deputy could smell an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. It was also noted that Jackson had red, watery eyes and slurred speech.
When asked if he had been drinking, he said no. While outside the vehicle, the deputy said he could smell alcohol on Jackson’s breath.
Jackson then admitted to drinking one beer.
He blew a preliminary breath test of 0.136 blood alcohol content and showed several clues of impairment during a field sobriety test.
