Blue Angels return to Minden’s Bi-Annual Aviation Roundup Oct. 1 and 2

The Blue Angels will once again dance across the sky at the Minden-Tahoe Airport’s Aviation Roundup which takes place this year on Oct. 1 and 2.

The Minden-Tahoe Airshow is a bi-annual event showcasing airshow performers, aerobatic performers, military jet demonstrations, and more.

Casino Fandango’s Oktoberfest returns this weekend to Carson City

Celebrate fall and the first days of October this Saturday and Sunday in Carson City at Casino Fandango during its annual Oktoberfest.

Bonanza Kennel Club AKC Dog Show returns to Carson City this weekend

Bonanza Kennel Club of Carson City will hold its annual AKC All-Breed Dog Shows, Obedience and Rally Trials at Fuji Park in Carson City Oct. 1-2, 2022. More than 750 dogs will be at the show.

Will they make it in time? Outhouse racers to roll through Virginia City this weekend

World championship competitions are celebrated around the globe. But in Virginia City, such competitions are taken to levels beyond the wild and unusual, such as the International Camel and Ostrich Races earlier this month.

This weekend is yet another example with the 33rd annual World Championship Outhouse Races.

Acoustic Trio 'Sure Thing' at Bank Saloon in Carson City this Friday

The acoustic trio “Sure Thing” will appear at the Bank Saloon in Carson City on Friday, Sept. 30. The lineup features local musician Brother Dan Palmer, along with long time musical collaborators Phil Prunier and Jeff Laakso. The trio has been well received at exclusive private parties over the past few years, and this is their first public showing. It starts at 7 p.m.

The Carson Farmers Market ends this Saturday, October 1. This year was a busy one with new vendors and more customers. While it's sad to see another season wrap up, it has been a very successful year.

Hot August Nights Fall Frenzy Show-n-Shine and Coat Drive Oct. 1

Hot August Nights closes out its 35th year with the Fall Frenzy Show-n-Shine taking place Oct. 1 at Baldini’s Casino from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The beloved event gives car enthusiasts and Hot August Nights participants the opportunity to showcase their classic vehicles one last time before the close of 2022 and while donating to a fall coat drive.

'Waste Aeon' art exhibition at Western Nevada College gallery turns trash into sculptures

In Kyle Karrasch’s "Waste Aeon" exhibition for CCAI, he brought his sculptures made of trash into the gallery.

The free exhibit is open to the public September 19 — December 20, 2022, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the Western Nevada College’s Bristlecone Gallery, 2201 West College Parkway, Carson City. Join CCAI for the opening reception, Friday, September 30, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Nevada Artists Association presents 'The Autumn Show' now through Oct. 21

Nevada Artists Association of Carson City, NV presents their newest show "Autumn Show" starting Saturday, September 10th! NAA is the largest respected Fine Art Gallery of Carson City and features several wonderful artists in several art mediums from paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, glass, paper and more.

Minden's Kids and Horses program to host workshop for those living with dementia and their caretakers

Kids and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center, located at 2869 Esaw St. in Minden is hosting a series of workshops by Connected Horse, a research-based program designed to support people diagnosed in the early stages of dementia and their care partners. The fall workshops run for two consecutive Saturdays.
