Carson City arrests: Man booked for felony domestic battery, allegedly 'fish hooked' victim
A 39-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony domestic battery causing substantial bodily harm, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Robert Slider, a Carson City resident, was taken into custody at 9:53 a.m., following an investigation into the incident that happened May 19 in which the victim was allegedly "fish hooked" causing a mouth injury, according to the report.
The investigation and discussion with the victim revealed the man allegedly confronted her as she sat in a vehicle, and then stuck his fingers in the victim's mouth as he tried to pull her out of the vehicle, the report states.
A "fish hook" is when someone angles their finger into a hook shape and inserts and latches inside another person's mouth.
The victim was treated and referred to an oral surgeon for care, the report states. A referral to a specialist such as an oral surgeon is suggestive of further damages that urgent care was unable to address.
Due to medical insurance restrictions, the victim has not yet followed up with an oral surgery office, the report states. The alleged victim provided a release of medical records regarding the injury.
The man was taken into custody Saturday, Sept. 23. Bail: $15,000.
