Reno-Tahoe International Airport adds new carrier with flights to southern California
Reno-Tahoe International Airport on Friday announced New Pacific Airlines will offer nonstop service twice a week to Ontario, Calif.
“We are happy to share that a new carrier is entering our market,” said Tina Iftiger, Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) Chief Air Service Development Officer, of the new southern California service.
Flight reservations are being taken now with the airline beginning air service in November.
With rapid growth and economic expansion in the region, there is a renewed focus on air service development at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, RTAA said, adding the authority is committed to retaining and growing its current service while also giving the community more options by expanding to new destinations.
“Our approved $1 billion dollar investment in airport infrastructure, known as MoreRNO, is coming at the perfect time to support the community and will provide decades of capacity to meet the needs of the growing region,” said Daren Griffin, president and CEO of the RTAA.
Rob McKinney, CEO of New Pacific Airlines, conveyed his excitement about this significant milestone, remarking, "This marks an exciting period of growth for New Pacific. Providing service between Ontario and Reno is a major stride in our commitment to offering outstanding travel experiences to passengers throughout the United States. We eagerly anticipate connecting these fantastic cities, thereby enhancing travelers' choices for exploration."
