Auditions for "A Tuna Christmas"
Proscenium Players, Inc. has announced auditions for its first production of its 2011/2012 season. "A Tuna Christmas" provides comedy set in the fictional small town of Tuna, Texas. Small-town hijinks, big Texas personalities, and Christmas silliness collide. There is no doubt this event will prove to be memorable for audiences and participants alike.
There are plenty of wonderful characters for ages 18 to 118. Auditions will be at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St., Carson City, in the Maize Harris Jesse theater on Sept. 25th, 2011, at 3:00 pm. No preparation is necessary, but your best Texas accent is desired. Rehearsals will begin immediately and performances will take place from Dec. 2 to 11. The show is directed by Maize Harris Jesse, co-founder of PPI. For more information, call Maize at 882-1177.
PPI was founded in 1965 and since then has continuously entertained Carson City residents with a variety of shows. Over the years, the shows have been varied: drama, musicals, comedy, classical, improvisational, old favorites and avant garde. Now, after a two-year hiatus, the performance troupe is returning to the Brewery Arts Center.
