Oregon man identified in fatal motorcycle crash on US95 in Churchill County
The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified an Oregon man who died Sept. 14 in a motorcycle crash with a semi-truck on US 95 in Churchill County.
Bill Dale Davis Jr., 35, of Myrtle Creek Oregon, died of injuries he sustained from the crash. On Sept. 14, 2017 at approximately 11:42 a.m. NHP troopers responded to US95 near Pasture Road for a serious injury crash involving a semi truck and a motorcycle.
The preliminary investigation shows that a black 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling northbound on US95 near Pasture Road, for an unknown reason, the motorcycle rider crossed over the center lane line into the southbound lane and struck the front left of a southbound gray 2017 Peterbilt semi-truck. The motorcycle rider, Davis Jr., was thrown from the Kawasaki and succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the crash.
Trooper Doug Hildebrand of the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) is investigating this crash.
