Carson City Fire Department knocks down small brush fire in Brunswick Canyon
Carson City Fire Department firefighters knocked down a small brush fire Sunday afternoon in the area of Brunswick Canyon in east Carson City off of Sedge Road.
The call came into Carson City dispatch at 2:22 p.m. Engines and brush crews responded and located the 10 foot by 10 foot fire and quickly knocked it down within a few minutes of arrival. The reporting party told dispatch the fire ignited from a bullet that ricocheted.
Additional brush engines and Truckee Meadows Fire called in as mutual aid were released from the scene.
Conditions Sunday afternoon in the area are mostly cloudy, with winds from the north, 10 mph to 23 mph.
