Carson City arrests: Man tells deputy he wants drugs off the street, shows deputy meth stash
A 43-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after engaging with a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy about someone he said he knew was selling Fentanyl and then showing the deputy suspected drugs in his possession.
According to the booking report, a deputy was parked in a parking lot in the 1900 block of North Carson Street when a man walked up to the deputy and began to talk, the report states.
The officer asked the man, Javier Moncada, if he needed anything. The man stated he wanted to talk about getting Fentanyl off the street. He said that he knew who was selling Fentanyl in Carson City and stated he wanted to get in contact with the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team.
The deputy informed the man he would complete a field interview report and send it to SET, the report states. The officer asked the man if he was credible with the information, the report states.
The man said he would show the deputy and then pulled a small plastic bottle out of his left pocket. The bottle had crystal-like substances of suspected methamphetamine inside of it.
After the man showed the officer the bottle, he was taken into custody at 7:43 a.m. for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Bail: $2,637.

— A 34-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested Wednesday for misdemeanor warrants — failure to comply and criminal contempt — out of Walker River Justice Court. Bail: $850.
