18th Carson City Extreme Motor Officers Challenge begins Thursday, skilled riders invited to compete
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office will host its 18th annual Extreme Motor Officers Challenge this Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 9-11 at Mills Park. This event is open to current certified motor officers and skilled civilians.
The event will include training, riding and riding techniques with various instructors. This event is designed to help enhance their riding skills through challenging patterns with and friendly competition.
Those interested but not sure if they want to participate in the challenge can meet the Motor Unit on Thursday, Sept. 9 at Mills Park, sign the waiver where riders will have an opportunity to test the course and determine if they want to participate in the challenge.
Bring your family, bring your bike and have fun. The Little Rider Foundation will be setting up a course for Strider Riders as a fun even for kids.

Thursday, Sept. 9
Course will be open to practice starting at 8 a.m. Trainers will be on site for low key instruction. Riders will be able to complete sign up forms and entry fees if not already done so.
Friday, Sept. 10
Practice to continue at Mills Park with trainers on site for one on one help. Lunch will be provided. After lunch riders will get a time qualifying run to determine rider class.
Saturday, Sept. 11
Training and Competition begin at 8 a.m. into the afternoon. Officers and riders will compete in timed runs on the main course. An award BBQ dinner for riders, families and volunteers will be held at the Mills Park Pavilion.
