Michale Edward Odell was taken into custody at 7 p.m. in the area of Jewell and Cardinal streets.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the area regarding an altercation and learned there was a dispute was over a driver allegedly speeding and driving recklessly down the street.

The driver, Odell, was confronted by a female who allegedly sprayed water on him. Odell then allegedly drove up to the woman, entering the driveway of the residence, where the woman said she was nearly hit by Odell's vehicle.

The female said Odell hit her with a serpentine belt. She had a large bruise on her arm, the arrest report states. Odell said the woman struck him with a hose during the altercation, leaving a red mark. The red mark where Odell said he was hit with the hose was not consistent with someone being hit by a hose, the report states.

The male victim showed officers a laceration on his hand in which he stated Odell was driving away and his hand was struck by the rear bumper of the vehicle. Witnesses spoke with deputies as part of the investigation.

A woman who was with Odell told deputies that the two were driving down the street and that the woman came out and started spraying the vehicle with water.

She told officers the woman got in front of the vehicle stopping then, and that the woman's husband came outside of the house. She said the woman began to spray Odell with the hose again and stated Odell grabbed the belt and smacked the woman in the left side of the back, the arrest report states.
