Carson City deputies arrest man for suspicion of peeping, peering into homes
A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday night for felony suspicion of peeping, peering or spying into homes while in possession of a deadly weapon, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Ronnie Davis was taken into custody at 9:28 p.m. in the 4200 block of South Carson Street. He also faces misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and violation of bail conditions.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to a residence on Center Drive in reference to a possible attempted burglary. Dispatch advised a bald white male was trying to enter several residences in the area and was being chased by a homeowner westbound on Clearview Drive.
Carson City dispatch had received multiple calls earlier in the day of the same person allegedly causing the same problems with businesses and citizens, the arrest report states.
Deputies located the man at a sporting good store parking lot and detained him. During the investigation, deputies learned the man, who is deaf, attempted to peep and peer into home and windows but did not make entry. When he was detained, officers located a kitchen knife, among other numerous items, on the man. He was arrested.
During transport to jail, the man became combative and attempted to kick out the back window of a patrol vehicle. Bail: $20,000.
In other arrests:
— A 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 12:19 a.m. in the 1600 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor DUI.
According to the arrest report, a deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle with California plates that had expired registration. The driver failed to stop when the deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Woodside Drive and Airport Road.
The driver eventually stopped in the 1600 block of Airport Road, and exited the vehicle, attempting to walk away.
The man showed signs of intoxication, and stated he had two beers at a casino and 2 beers at home prior to going to the casino.
He showed signs of impairment on field sobriety tests and provided a preliminary breath test of .143. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Bail: $1,137.
— A male transient was arrested for trespass Monday, 10:35 p.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street.
According to the arrest report, the man had been trespassed from a casino after not paying his $7.50 bill in the cafe. He was advised he was trespassed from the property. He left and a short time later and walked back into the casino. Bail: $242.
