Carson City Clerk-Recorder reminds residents to verify voter registration, ballot preference ahead of General Election
We are gearing up for the upcoming November 8, 2022, General Election. Early Voting begins October 22 and runs through November 4, 2022 (closed on Sundays). Information regarding what will be on the ballot and polling location dates and times will be provided in the Voter Information Guide and Sample Ballot as well as posted on the Clerk/Recorder's website.
A few things to remember as the election approaches:
Mail Ballots
The passage of AB321 (81st Legislative Session) mandates all active registered voters to be mailed a mail ballot. These mail ballots may not be forwarded. If you know you will be out of town for the November 8, 2022, General Election, please visit https://www.carson.org/elections to download the Mail Ballot Preference Form and return the form to the Carson City Clerk’s Office or the clerk/registrar’s office where you reside. You may also visit our office at 885 E. Musser St., Ste. 1025 to complete the form.
In-Person Voting
Voters who wish to vote in-person may opt out of receiving a mail ballot by completing the Mail Ballot Preference Form. Return the completed form to the Carson City Clerk’s Office (or the clerk/registrar’s office where you reside) by 5:00 p.m., September 9, 2022. You may also visit our office at 885 E. Musser St., Ste. 1025 to complete the form.
Verify your voter registration information
Please verify your voter registration information is current. To verify and update your existing voter registration information, you may do one of the following:
- Visit RegisterToVote.NV.gov.
- If you reside in Carson City, contact the Carson City Clerk’s Office directly at (775) 887-2087.
- If you do not reside in Carson City, please contact your local county clerk or registrar.
