Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada to pilot Carson City before school program
It’s that time of year, again. Families are preparing to head back to school. To help families, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada is adding a before school program at its Carson City location for the 2021/2022 school year.
For $25 per week per Club member, BGCWN will provide kids breakfast and transportation to school. The Club will be open on school mornings at 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. for drop-off. Transportation to school will depart from the Club at 8 a.m. There is a capacity limit of 50 youth for the before school program.
“We’re thrilled to add this program for our youth,” said Matt Sampson, director of operations for BGCWN. “We know that before and after school care is important for working parents, so adding a morning program to our Club will be an asset to the community.”
BGCWN also provides after school programming, including transportation to the Club for $20 per month. After school hours are 2-6PM. There is an annual Club membership fee of $60 per child. For full details about programming, www.bgcwn.org.
