Carson City arrests: Man booked for felony fugitive warrant also a suspect in battery
A 44-year-old man was arrested Monday for a felony fugitive from justice warrant and suspicion of misdemeanor battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Richard Jeremy Long, listed of Carson City, was taken into custody at 3:28 p.m. in the 100 block of East Long Street. He was wanted for the felony warrant out of Nevada County, Calif., for being a fugitive from justice for the alleged crime of assault with a deadly weapon.
Long also faces a battery charge after an incident on July 25, in which he allegedly battered a man with a baseball bat in the 1200 block of South Carson Street, according to the booking report. Bail: $26,137.
In other arrests:
— A 24-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested early Tuesday for misdemeanor suspicion of driving on a suspended license. Bail: $637.
— A 31-year-old Grass Valley, Calif., Randy Gilbertson, was arrested early Tuesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Bail: $2,500.
— A 36-year-old Reno man was arrested Monday for misdemeanor suspicion of driving with a revoked license for DUI. Bail: $1,137.
— A 39-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested Monday, 11:36 a.m. in the 3600 block of Highway 50 East for suspicion of trespassing, obstructing, fictitious license plate, registration and three misdemeanor failure to appear warrants. Bail: $4,791.
