Youth Theatre Carson City is thrilled to announce our upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition, playing eight performances weekends July 21-30, 2023 in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center.
'Run What Cha Brung' car show returns to Carson City this Friday and Saturday
The 36th annual "Run What Cha Brung" car show — a summer favorite for more than 30 years among Northern Nevada classic vehicle and hot rod enthusiasts — returns this weekend to Mills Park in Carson City, July 21-22.

The Carson High School boy's soccer team is holding a fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. to help with gear, warm ups, equipment, and all year long expenses.

The Carson Fly Fishing Club will conduct an Introductory Fly-Fishing Class July 21, 6:00 PM and July 22, all day starting at 10:30 AM at the Ormsby Room, Carson City Sheriff's Office, at 911 E. Musser St., Carson City.
The course will cover equipment, casting, entomology, flies, and knots & leaders. The casting portion will be late afternoon at Baily Pond on July 22. The purpose of the class is to learn the basic techniques of fly fishing. This will be the twenty-first year that the Carson Fly Fishing Club has presented this class free to the public.
Lake Tahoe:
A final evening with Mark Twain at Lake of the Sky Amphitheater happening July 21

Classical Tahoe: A Hero’s Journey
The 2023 Classical Tahoe festival presents four weeks of outdoor orchestra, chamber music, and jazz concerts in stunning settings on Lake Tahoe’s North Shore. Join us at the Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe to hear 70 virtuoso musicians from the top orchestras in the country for a festival of concerts and events for music lovers of all ages.

Comedy headliner Rex Meredith to bring out the laughs Saturday at Carson Nugget showroom
Rex Meredith, the high energy and musically talented comedian with appearances with Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Ray Charles, The Tonight Show, HBO, Showtime and more, takes the stage at the Carson Nugget Casino's Grand Showroom in Carson City this Saturday, July 22, for shows at 6 and 8 p.m., along with local northern Nevada acts, Howie Nave and Oscar Ovies.
The public is invited to a meet and greet before the show with Meredith, Nave and Ovies in Gina's Good Life Lounge, inside the Carson Nugget, at 5 p.m.

Levitt Amp concert series returns to Carson City's Brewery Arts Center all summer long
The Levitt Amp Concert Series returns to Carson City beginning June 17 at the Brewery Arts Center under new leadership.
Executive Director Spike McGuire came into the position at the BAC in January, and immediately got to work searching out and selecting the bands and musical acts that will showcase this year’s Levitt AMP concert series. However, McGuire said, the community will find the same format and vibe that the community expects.
Head on down to the Brewery Art Center's Exhibition Hall now through Sept. 17 to visit the "Seed of the Movement" art history display.
