Carson City-based Miles Construction celebrates 35 years with '35 Days of Giving' campaign

Miles Construction of Carson City turns 35 years old and is giving back to the communities that made their success possible. Miles "35 Days of Giving" kicks off this month providing nonprofit groups in Carson City, Douglas County, Fernley and Dayton with gift cards to support their respective missions. Gift cards are purchased from local businesses, further supporting the community’s small businesses who have struggled through the past year’s shutdowns.
“We wouldn’t be where we are without the support of our community,” Bill Miles, president of Miles Construction, said. “We’re fortunate to be celebrating 35 successful years in business and we have our community to thank for that. This is our way of demonstrating that by giving to our local nonprofits.”
During the company’s 35 Days of Giving, Miles Construction will purchase gift cards totaling $3,500 from locally owned restaurants and donate them back to area nonprofits including the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada, St. Francis of Assisi Food Bank in Reno, Moxy Up Kids in Douglas County, Boys & Girls Club of Mason Valley and Community Chest in Fernley.
The 35-year-old construction company based in Carson City gained notoriety in Nevada for its work in advance manufacturing, historic renovations and indoor farming, today is licensed in 12 states and has projects in throughout the west coast.
“Miles has grown considerably from its foundation and remains focused to change the way construction projects are managed from start to finish,” Cary Richardson, vice president of Business Development, said. “Today we’re proud to be leaders in large-scale construction, specifically in advanced manufacturing, distribution and sustainability."
Honoring the company’s roots in Nevada, Miles has also played a critical role in Nevada’s economic development creating jobs and furthering workforce development for the northern Nevada region.
