Lyon County Sheriff's Office: Vehicle pursuit ends in Silver Springs after tires spiked
A 36-year-old woman was arrested Sunday night in Silver Springs following a vehicle pursuit that began in Mineral County, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
Michelle Bobb, 36, of Schurz, Nev., was arrested for suspicion of felony eluding and DUI following the pursuit, which ended after all four tires were flattened via spike strips put down in the roadway by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
LCSD reports that Lyon County Dispatch received a call at 8:08 p.m. from law enforcement requesting assistance in a failure to yield vehicle coming into Yerington from Mineral County.
Lyon County deputies joined the failure to yield pursuit as the vehicle headed northbound on Highway 95A at speeds approaching 100 miles an hour, according to a news release.
Nevada Highway Patrol assisted by spiking the tires of the vehicle as it came into Silver Springs. The vehicle had all 4 tires flattened and came to a stop on 5th Street in Silver Springs. No one was injured in the incident.
