Today, you may have noticed the slate of trucks, workers and industrial sized waste bins at the Carson City Denny’s, along with a “for lease” sign out front.

However, realtor Ale Moncada of Nevada Commercial Group confirmed that this is a coincidence; while she represents the property as a whole, the sign is actually advertising for a nearby space looking for a tenant.

The Denny’s, which has stood at that location for decades and underwent another remodel just a few years ago following a kitchen fire, is here to stay.

Moncada confirmed with the owner they’ll be closed while the renovations are underway, and will be hosting an unveiling for the community when they are complete.

Denny’s in some form has been operating in the capital city continuously since the 1940s after the Virginia & Truckee McKeen Motorcar was first retired and served as the first location of Denny’s Diner.

Moncada said anyone interested in the actual space for lease on the property can contact her directly at 7753158735 to learn more.
