Local musician Kingwhistler celebrates 10th anniversary with July 2 show
Join Carson City area singer songwriter Kingwhistler, also known as Nick Aliberti, to celebrate his 10th anniversary with a show at The Virgil in Reno on Saturday, July 2. The concert will also feature local favorites Kat Heart, Jenera Paxton, and Joshua Procaccini. Often compared to The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, Kingwhistler seeks to bring the sound of the golden age of rock and roll to a new generation.
The Kingwhistler & Friends 10th Anniversary Show will be at The Virgil, 301 Vassar St, Reno, on Saturday, July 2. Doors at 6:00 pm, and show at 7:00 pm. All ages show and the first 50 guests will receive a limited edition Kingwhistler bandana! Food trucks and a cash bar will be available.

It's been 10 years since Kingwhistler first set foot on the stage in his debut at the famous Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. Since then, he has brought his signature blend of folk, classic rock, and country to venues across the US including the House of Blues, Hotel Cafe, and into Northern Nevada. Kingwhistler kicked off the 2019 the Levitt Amp Summer Series at the Brewery Arts Center, opened for “The Black Lillies” at Piper’s Opera House, and has been featured on The X and KNVC.
Most recently he performed for Loud as Folk’s “Musicale at the Maisie” series, and can be seen in venues around Reno, Carson City and the Lake Tahoe area all summer long. Nick received the prestigious Performing Artist Grant for Songwriting in 2019 from the Sierra Arts Foundation. He was also selected for the exclusive Ben Folds Songwriter Retreat in 2021 with mentors Ben Folds and Dave Stroud. Keep a lookout for a new EP from Kingwhistler coming in 2022.
