Carson City radio KNVC hosts first Levitt AMP concert, Las Cafeteras, this Saturday
Carson City community radio KNVC 95.1 is a proud sponsor of the first show in the Levitt AMP Series. Las Cafeteras will be playing Saturday, June 17 at 7pm at the Brewery Arts Center 449 W. King St., at the corner of King and Minnesota streets.
From Afro-Mexican to Americana, from Soul to Son Jarocho, from Roots to Rock and Hip Hop, Las Cafeteras take folk music to the future. The group consists of 5 artists from 4 cities in 3 states who elevate a vision of America that represents Black, Indigenous, and working people of color.
KNVC disc jockeys and staff members will be present to meet with our listeners and potential listeners to share information on our diverse community programming, volunteering with us or supporting our mission to build a stronger, more connected and resilient Carson City.
“We are proud to sponsor the first show in this amazing free series at the Brewery Arts Center,” said Steve Funk, KNVC Station Manager. “KNVC staff members will be at the entrance to the venue to provide information on our local programing, news and our locally sourced music programs. We will also be happy to share information on this and future Levitt AMP Concerts in the series.”
