Carson City based E720, an 'artists-first' event company, launches in the capital city
Carson City’s first fall multi-day music concert, Battle, Axe and Tracks, was recently announced. The company behind the event is a new one: E720, which has just appeared on the scene in Carson City.
The company was started with a partnership between Ken Farley, a local businessman, and Gina Lopez, Executive Director of the Brewery Arts Center and former artist. Lopez gave some insight into the new event company, named after a fictitious entertainment company from the popular NBC comedy, "Parks and Recreation."
“E720 is a company that specializes in creating memories and unique experiences for our client's event,” said Lopez. “The goal is to take your event to the next level. Every time.”
The idea for the company came from an “artists first” perceptive, said Lopez, and was developed from a desire to help their friends in the service industry and artistic community bounce back after the pandemic.
“It was difficult to see how not only financially but emotionally our town and our friends suffered,” said Lopez. “We have experienced first hand how live music and the arts can bring a community together to grow and prosper, and we wanted to kick start that again in a big way. We anticipated the desire people would have for quality live music and entertainment and that it would be even stronger as we all emerged from the lockdowns. That belief is where the idea for Battle, Axe and Tracks was born.”
Lopez is not leaving the Brewery Arts Center, however, and anticipates a continued partnership with Carson City’s well-known artistic non-profit.
“The BAC is the cornerstone of the artistic landscape in Carson City and certainly we will share talent and expertise,” said Lopez. “While E720 is a completely independent organization from the BAC, a portion of the proceeds from the 2021 Battle, Axe and Tracks will benefit the Brewery Arts Center as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada.”
