Carson City emergency crews called to crash involving bicycle rider at Brown and Gordon
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded late Monday afternoon to a vehicle crash involving a bicycle rider in the area of Brown and Gordon streets.
The incident was reported at 4:40 p.m. Arriving first responders said the victim, a 56-year-old man, was conscious, awake and suffering from injuries to the forehead.
A Care Flight air ambulance was ordered. The victim was taken to Carson City Airport and then flown to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The crash is being investigated with CCSO deputies on scene. Motorists in the area can expect delays.
