Carson City Humane Society’s Pet of the Week: Nala
Happy Friday, Carson City, and wish a happy weekend to our smart as a whip Pet of the Week, Nala.
Nala is such a pretty pup who loves the outdoors and playing with dog staff.
She is six-years-old and has been in the shelter since late March, but was recently returned after being adopted out.
Dog staff recommends a home without cats and small animals, please, as she is more inclined to rougher play with them. Additionally, she would do best in a home with older teens and young adults, and no small children as they make her anxious.
Nala is also known as a smarty pants, as she’s well trained to come, sit, down, wait, and stay, in addition to being an outstanding watch dog. She enjoys car rides and sometimes needs her space.
How would Nala describe herself? Here’s what she had to say: “Activity is my game and Nala is my name! I act big and tough at first, but the moment I realize you have treats we will be BEST friends! I love to run and play but I will definitely benefit from a lot of consistency. I would love a house with a big, beautiful, fenced yard so I can run all day. If you are up for a challenge, meet me today so you can get to know me better!”
Nala is free to adopt as part of the Shelter’s participation in Empty The Shelters adoption event, which is sponsored by BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell.
You can meet Nala by visiting the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road in Carson City, or by calling (775) 887-2171 to find out more.
