Happening Today: The Greenhouse Project Mother's Day Plant Sale, in-person shopping available
For more than a decade, The Greenhouse Project in Carson City has been growing, giving and teaching for a healthier, greener and more sustainable community. To support its mission, The Greenhouse Project is hosting its annual Early Spring Plant Sale and Mother’s Day Plant Sale on Saturday, May 8.
“Organic agriculture is one of the best ways to support environmental sustainability and improve the overall health of people,” said The Greenhouse Project Executive Director Jon Ruiter. “Which is why we’re beyond excited to bring this opportunity back to our community.”
The Greenhouse Project’s Mother Day Sale is Saturday, May 8. If you missed out on preorders, which occurred between May 2 to May 7, never fear; in-person shopping is also available today from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Green Central, the main site on Carson High School's campus. Take an east on Robinson Street and follow the road behind the school bus parking lot.
Warm-season plants such as tomatoes, peppers, petunias and more are now included.
The Greenhouse Project follows all state of Nevada safely COVID guidelines.

About The Greenhouse Project
The Greenhouse Project was started to feed the food insecure. Today, we have developed as a resource to teach Carson City’s youth and citizens the importance of sustainable living, how to grow their own foods and be healthy, increase their knowledge of nutrition and love the outdoors. In support of its stated mission, The Greenhouse Project provides fresh and nutritious foods, free of charge to community food banks and encourages families, children, schools and the community to reconnect with the outdoors.
