Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday afternoon to a vehicle rollover with injuries on Kings Canyon Road.
The call came into dispatch at around 2:25 p.m. regarding a rollover involving a 4-door Jeep on its top in the 2900 block of Kings Canyon Road. One person, the sole occupant, was trapped inside and emergency crews were doing an extrication of the vehicle, said Carson City Fire Department Chief Sean Slamon.
A medical helicopter was ordered and landed in an area northwest of the accident scene. One person, the driver, suffered serious injuries and was flown by Care Flight to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Kings Canyon Road has been closed for traffic at Longview to allow for emergency crews to get to the incident, the landing of Care Flight and an accident investigation.
