Authors featured at book signing Saturday in Carson City at Nevada State Museum
Love books? Want to meet the people who write them? The Nevada State Museum is hosting a Spring Book Signing Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dema Guinn Concourse at 600 N. Carson Street in Carson City.
Come meet more than 14 local authors from Northwestern Nevada and learn more about their published works, including: Michael Branch (On the Trail of the Jackalope), David Woodruff (El Camino series), Rusty Goe (James Crawford: Master of the Mint at Carson City and The Confident Carson City Coin Collector), Stanley Paher (Nevadans: The Spirit of the Silver State), Stephen Provost (Century and Highway series), Nancy Raven (Wuzzie Comes to Camp), Jenny Lin (The Tale of Tikky the Quail), Ken Beaton and Steven Ranson (Legacies of the Silver State), Wendell Huffman (Wood For the Comstock), Angela Laverghetta (The Buried Knight), Jan Butler Kyle (No Exit Necessary), Lynell Garfield (The Secret Life of Streams), John Smith (Fields of Silver and Gold series) and Peter Mires (Lost Carson City).
“This is a fantastic meet-and-greet opportunity for the public to interact with local writers and discuss their favorite books with them,” said Museum Store Manager Cayce Weislow.
Visitors who buy a book during the event receive a free Nevada State Museum swag bag. There will also be complimentary coffee served, featuring Blind Dog Coffee’s special Museum blends.
There’s no admission fee for activities in the Concourse or Museum Store. Admission to the Museum galleries is $10 for adults. Members and children 17 and under are free. The Nevada State Museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
