Carson City Classic Cinema, senior center partner for free showing of musical 'Easter Parade'
Carson City Classic Cinema Club will host a free showing of the 1948 movie "Easter Parade" on Tuesday, April 12 at 1 p.m. in the Nevada Room at the Carson City Senior Center at 911 Beverly Drive.
Easter Parade is an American Technicolor musical starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, Peter Lawford and Ann Miller. The music by Irving Berlin includes some of Astaire and Garland's best-known songs, including "Easter Parade," "Steppin' Out with My Baby" and "We're a Couple of Swells."
Popcorn will be served. With this new partnership, the Carson City Senior Center hopes to launch a Movie Matinee Club hosting free monthly movies, both classics and new releases, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1pm in May.
