New Carson City Nissan Dealership breaks ground Wednesday
Carson City’s newest dealership broke ground Wednesday morning, welcoming in Carson City Nissan, owned by Chris Russell.
The new dealership is set to be open on Nov. 1, and construction is underway currently at 2750 South Carson Street.
Miles Construction, a northern Nevada general contractor headquartered in Carson City, hosted the groundbreaking on site along with Mayor Bob Crowell, Chris Russell, the Carson City Board of Supervisors and a collection of Carson City officials.
Cary Richardson of Miles Construction said, “There’s been a lot of headlines recently about Tesla, Panasonic, Google, Switch, Apple. But headlines don’t build communities. Investments in our local communities by individuals like Chris Russell is what really builds our cities and towns. We’re so fortunate that he has chosen Carson City for his investment.”
Carson City's mayor echoed the sentiment.
“We’re proud you chose Carson City for your dealership,” Mayor Crowell told Russell. “It’s not just about investing in a community, but participating in a community that matters.”
This is Russell’s fourth dealership, he said, and he's looking forward to being a part of the community.
“We’re excited to be here,” said Russell.
