The Carson City Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying a suspect involved in an alleged assault with a deadly weapon incident last month where a firearm was pointed during a road rage incident
On Thursday, March 21 at around 7 a.m., the victim in the case was leaving the parking lot of 3325 Retail Drive in Carson City . When she entered the roadway on Retail Drive, a male in a silver four door sedan, possibly a Nissan, simultaneously entered the roadway from the Walmart parking lot at 3200 Market St., according to a CCSO news release.
The driver of the sedan became irate and followed the victim to the Southbound on-ramp on to I-580. He sped around her and overtook her and caused her to move off of the roadway, according to the release.
The suspect vehicle moved in front of the victim’s vehicle and slammed on his brakes, the release states. He pulled out a pistol and pointed it at her two separate times.
Surveillance footage from Walmart showed the suspect leaving the store prior to the incident. The suspect is described as a white male adult with light, short hair, and is medium height and build. He was wearing a yellow jacket over a gray collared shirt with dark pants and red and white shoes.
