Carson City authorities investigate accident; motorist reportedly drives through fence and hits four cars
UPDATED 3:40PM: Carson City authorities and the Nevada Highway Patrol have responded to an accident in the 3500 block of Highway 50 east that happened at 9:13 this morning where four parked vehicles were hit by a motorist.
The motorist was reportedly in cardiac arrest when police arrived and was transported to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, said NHP Trooper Dan Lopez. NHP is investigating as to whether the man, described as elderly, had a medical condition which may have caused the accident.
According to Lopez the driver was on the south side of Highway 50 East of Airport Road when, for unknown reasons, went through a fence near a motel and 3500 Highway 50 East. The driver struck four unoccupied parked vehicles, Lopez added. No other people were injured.
