Prestige Senior Living offers free Webinar on Friday highlighting fall prevention
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every year 36 million older adults suffer a fall, with 3 million of those individuals requiring trips to an emergency room. Though falling poses a great risk to older adults, there are things you can do to protect yourself or a loved one, and fitness is a great way to reduce that risk.
To help inform older adults and their loved ones on how to mitigate the risk of falling at home or on the go, Prestige Senior Living is inviting community members to attend a free webinar on fall prevention on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
The webinar will be hosted by Mike Studer, a physical therapist with over 30 years of experience in helping older adults reduce their risk of falling. In the webinar, he will discuss the physical aspect of fall risks for older adults, including the importance of balance and walking gait. He will also discuss mental health concerns and the fear and anxiety many older adults feel surrounding fall risk.
To sign up for the free webinar, visit www.PrestigeCanHelp.com and fill out the online form provided there.
