Empire Elementary Music Teacher Earns Scholarship in Carson City
Carson City School District’s Empire Elementary Music Teacher Cassidy Robinson was the recent recipient of the “Apple Award” from the Delta Kappa Gamma NU Chapter in the amount of $250.00. Delta Kappa Gamma is an educational organization of teachers who support other teachers.
Ms. Robinson plans to use the award to help purchase wearable microphones for students performing in the spring musical the school is presenting in partnership with Wildhorse Children's Theater.
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society Nu Chapter was founded May 19, 1978. Their membership is comprised of women educators in Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and Storey Counties.
