Carson City deputies make arrests for resisting, disturbing peace and drug possession
A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of misdemeanor resisting an officer, disturbing the peace and pedestrian failure to use due care, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
The suspect had been observed swinging a skateboard, yelling, walking in the middle of the road and impeding traffic multiple times at various locations, the report states.
After multiple reports, deputies responded to William Street near Saliman Road where the man was running in front of cars and acting erratically. The man was located and seen running in and out of traffic. Officers determined the very real possibility that the man was going to get hurt or cause a traffic accident, according to the report.
When the officers approached the man he took off running. Officers were able to stop and detained him though he continued to resist. The man advised he was alcoholic but had not drank that day and also said there was something wrong with him mentally. Jail staff advised they set up an appointment for the man to have a mental health evaluation. Bail: $1,137.
