UPDATE: 15 out of 15 businesses successful in latest Carson City alcohol compliance check
The first alcohol compliance check of the year in the capital city was a success, with all 15 businesses checked positive for having used identification properly, denying sales to minor decoys, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
On Thursday, Feb. 22, the sheriff's office conducted the alcohol compliance checks. CCSO and Partnership Carson City remind businesses to be diligent in checking identification to ensure those purchasing alcohol are 21 years of age or older.
It is Nevada law to check identification when selling or serving alcohol.

Partnership Carson City, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, and School Resource Officers offer a Responsible Beverage Server Training course for anyone who sells and/or serves alcohol, tobacco, or marijuana products in Carson City.
The next Responsible Beverage Server Training course takes place on April 18, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $20. The course is open to anyone who wants to learn about Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws in Carson City and is conducted at the Partnership Carson City office at 1925 North Carson Street.
