Carson City Supervisors to discuss opioid community needs assessment, Jump Around Carson transit system and more
The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center’s Bristlecone Room, located at 1600 Medical Parkway.
Members of the public who wish only to view the meeting but do NOT plan to make public comment may watch the livestream of the Board of Supervisors meeting at https://www.carson.org/granicus and by clicking on “In progress” next to the meeting date, or by tuning in to cable channel 191.
The public may provide public comment in advance of a meeting by written submission to the following email address: publiccomment@carson.org. For inclusion or reference in the minutes of the meeting, your public comment must include your full name and be submitted via email by not later than 3:00 p.m. the day before the meeting. Public comment during a meeting is limited to three minutes per speaker.
On the agenda:
— The supervisors will discuss and possibly act on the opioid community needs assessment and the proposed plan for the use of any grant funds received under Senate Bill 390 of the 2021 Legislative Session.
— A discussion and possible action regarding the allocation of funding to Carson City from the State of Nevada Indigent Accident Fund and the current and proposed uses of these funds.
— Annual employee survey and staff shortages
— The supervisors will discuss the city’s Asset Management Program, including Geographic Information Systems, the GIS Strategic Plan and the Strategic Asset Management Plan and, and prioritization of goals for the Asset Management Program over the next four years.
— The Regional Transportation Commission will collaborate with the supervisors to discuss and possibly act on the Jump Around Carson transit system including administration, operations, costs, projects and long-range fiscal outlook
