Woman jailed for burglary after allegedly breaking into pickup, scuffling with owner

A 21-year-old woman was arrested early Friday in the 3000 block of Airport Road for suspicion of felony burglary and misdemeanor battery, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

According to the arrest report, Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Airport Road where the reporting party stated a female, later identified as Adriana Rebecca Aguilar-Salazar of South Lake Tahoe, was sitting in his truck in his driveway, the report states.

The reporting party stated he awoke to the sound of a horn going off and observed Aguilar-Salazar sitting in his truck in the driveway. He stated he confronted her and asked her to exit his vehicle three times and she refused. According to his statement, he then grabbed Aguilar-Salazar by her shoulder and jacket and pulled her out of the driver’s seat of his vehicle.

The reporting party stated he could feel a large object in the pocket as he grabbed on to her and Aquilar-Salazar became combative and started to push and punch him. The man stated he punched her in the face in self-defense, which caused a cut on the suspect's eyebrow.

The reporting party was able to reach into Aguilar-Salazar’s jacket and recovered his Garmin GPS which was previously mounted to his windshield, a black camera and silver cigarette adapter. The man stated he believed the suspect was in the process of stealing these items from inside the truck and his rearview mirror was pulled off the windshield during their altercation, a CCSO deputy states.

When interviewing Aquilar-Salazar, the arresting officer stated the suspect did not want to talk with her. Aquilar-Salazar did not know her social security number and was muttering random numbers and stated the deputy wanted to be an actress. She had red-watery eyes and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The suspect also refused on-site medical treatment of the open cut on her eye brow. She was arrested at 1:40 a.m.

A CCSO deputy transported Aguilar-Salazar to the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center to be medically cleared and have the cut on her eye brow stitched, but did not want to listen to hospital staff and she refused to get her eye stitched, while stating the Rockefeller’s are controlling the world and do not care about her or anyone.

Hospital staff placed a adhesive strip on her eye. The suspect refused a preliminary breath test. Once she was medically cleared, Aguilar-Salazar was transported to the detention center and booked without incident. Total bail: $21,137.
