Douglas Sheriff's Office: Pair argue, one pushed from vehicle and both decline to press charges
UPDATE 3:13PM: The incident, initially reported to dispatch as a “carjacking” involved two people who recently met and decided to go to Reno together, said Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Bernadette Smith. They got into an argument at the top of Spooner on Highway 50. One was pushed out of the vehicle, got tangled up in the car and received road rash. The other was stopped in Carson City and detained. The person pushed out of the vehicle refused medical treatment. Neither wished to file charges against either other.

UPDATE 11:20AM: According to the Nevada Appeal, Douglas County deputies said it may not be a carjacking. The suspect told deputies he and the victim were riding together and got into an argument. The suspect was driving and the two got into a verbal dispute, and while the vehicle was stopped, the suspect pushed the victim out of the vehicle and drove off. The suspect has been detained.

A reported carjacking on top of Spooner Summit led to a police chase involving Nevada Highway Patrol, Carson City and Douglas County sheriff deputies resulting in one man taken into custody Tuesday morning near the corner of 5th and South Carson streets.
The alleged carjacking was reported at about 9:20 a.m. The victim was reportedly run over by the vehicle, a newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle in question had an Oregon plate. The victim reportedly called 911 to report the incident.
