Tonight: Carson City School Board to discuss incentives for resigning or retiring staff, strategic plan goals and more
The Carson City School Board meeting will take place tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 23 beginning at 6:30 p.m. inside the Bob Crowell Board Room at the Community Center.
Among the agenda items:
— Trustees will discuss the possible approval of a monetary incentive for early notification from administrative, certified and classified staff of their intent to resign or retire from the district at the conclusion of the 2023-24 school year, which may have a fiscal impact not to exceed $40,000.
— An informational update will be provided for the metric goals of the district’s Strategic Plan: Empower Carson City 2027.
— Trustees will select a Family Life Advisory Committee member to serve a three year term from January 2024 to January 2027 as a religious representative.
— An informational update will be provided on the Carson City School District Communication Plan.
— The proposed academic calendar for the 2024-2025 school year will be reviewed.
— Trustees will discuss the superintendent’s goals for the 2024 calendar year.
