42nd annual Robert Burns Scottish Dinner Celebration nears, registration deadline is Jan. 20
One of the largest Scottish celebrations of its kind on the West Coast, the 42nd annual Robert Burns Scottish Dinner Celebration is happening Saturday, Jan. 27 at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. Registration is underway with a Jan. 20 deadline.
The event, which honors the life and works of the renowned Bard of Scotland Robert Burns, draws approximately 450 to 500 attendees annually from northern Nevada and northern California.
The celebration includes a whisky tasting courtesy of Breakthru Beverages, dinner (including that most Scottish of dishes, haggis), presentation of the Scot of the Year, Highland dancers, and a performance by Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band.
