Carson City arrests: 18-year-old jailed for alleged marijuana possession for sales, other offenses
An 18-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of felony possession of marijuana for sale, and other drug related offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team booking report.
Christian Vasquez, listed of South Lake Tahoe, was arrested at 5:52 p.m. following a traffic stop for driving without license plates. This led to an investigation, a search of the vehicle and a briefcase safe. Among the findings:
— A jar of marijuana weighing 26 grams
— Two baggies of marijuana weighing 26 grams
— One jar of THC wax weighing 64.1 grams
— One jar of marijuana containing 2.1 grams
— 1 small plastic baggy containing multiple medications that require prescription.
— 12 Avion THC vape pens
— 7 Puffin resin cartridges
— 4 empty ziplock baggies
— 3 small ziplock baggies
— 1 gold THC vape pen
— 1 blue digital scale
— 1 black grinder with marijuana residue
The investigating SET deputy determined the amounts of marijuana were not for personal use but for sales. The man was booked for alleged possession of a controlled substance for sales, alleged possession of a controlled substance (both felony offenses) gross misdemeanor suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving an unregistered vehicle. Bail: $15,000.
In other arrests:
— A 53-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday a felony warrant out of Reno and alleged drug offenses, according to a sheriff's office booking report.
Renee Bray-Bolia was taken into custody in the area of Stewart and Park streets at 9:58 p.m., for suspicion of posession of a controlled substance (heroin), parole and probation violation, the Washoe County bench warrant and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She's being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 26-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $1,000 cash only.
— A 54-year-old Gervais, Oregon man was arrested Wednesday for warrants alleging suspicion of petit larceny and obtaining money, property or labor by false pretenses. Bail: $1,000.
