Lyon County Detectives, Tri-County Gang Unit and ATF arrest pair in connection with firearm burglary
On January 2nd, Detectives from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, along with the Tri-County Gang Unit and the ATF, served a search warrant on a residence in Silver Springs. This warrant was in relation to an ongoing burglary investigation where several firearms were stolen from a Federal Firearms License holder in the Silver Springs area.
During the course of the warrant, Detectives located numerous stolen firearms, stolen firearm parts, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Detectives also located and recovered two stolen vehicles, a stolen trailer, and two stolen jet skis.
Additionally, Detectives located trafficking amounts of methamphetamine along with evidence that the subjects were engaged in drug sales. There was also evidence of ID theft and stolen credit cards located at the residence.
Both subjects living at the residence had multiple felony convictions and they were arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on 53 different charges ranging from Possession of Stolen Firearms, Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon, Drug Trafficking, and Possession of Stolen Property. Their bail was set at $980,000.
