NHL to host Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche at Lake Tahoe for outdoor game, Bruins and Flyers to follow
The National Hockey League (NHL) will be holding two outdoor games in Lake Tahoe next month as part of their Outdoor Weekend series.
On Feb. 20, Nevada's own Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche will face off for a live game hosted by Edgewood Tahoe Resort.
Then on Feb. 21, the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers will battle it out on the ice the next day.
Edgewood, which hosts the celebrity golf tournament during the summers, will be offering up an area near the 16th, 17th and 18th holes, according to Sports Net Canada.
Fans will not be allowed to watch in person due to COVID-19 restrictions but the games will be streamed live.
According to Sports Net, the NHL scouted numerous locations before settling on Lake Tahoe for the host of this unusual game series.
